The best sites have a bias, and own it too! Here’s your guide to the best conservative blogs available on the internet today!
11. Hot Air
Michelle Malkin (more on her in a minute) has made several major contributions to the conservative movement. Undoubtedly, her biggest contribution is Hot Air.
Hot Air follows the principals of many conservative websites. They don’t hesitate to criticize when criticism is due, they don’t hesitate to stop when they need to either!
Since its founding in 2006, the site has constantly grown, attracting big-name contributors such as Captain’s Quarters veteran (and owner) Ed Morrissey, with him leaving his own site to contribute to Hot Air!
In February 2010, Hot Air joined Townhall Media, a subsidiary of Salem Media Group.
HotAir is generally considered to be one of the best conservative blogs ever published!
10. PJ Media
PJ Media is another Townhall Media brand, and a sister site to Hot Air, however, it takes a more news-related approach.
However, it does it with a twist: they don’t just report the news as other organizations would, but also offers an explanation into it and also has opinions attached to it.
This style of writing had a great affect, and many conservatives liked the site, repeatedly coming back for more. Due to this, the site has become very popular and a center for conservative political news.
Due to this popularity, in March 2019, PJ Media was bought out by Townhall Media’s parent Salem Media Group, and spun into Townhall Media.
9. Guido Fawkes
Guido Fawkes isn’t necessarily one of the most famous conservative political blogs (unless you’re British), but it isn’t one of the best conservative blogs for you to read!
Guido Fawkes was founded by unapologetic right-wing political writer Paul Staines, who wrote under the name Guido Fawkes originally.
The site also hosts several other writers, who also share Staines’ unapologetic conservative tone.
As the name implies, the site focuses on the goings-on of the British parliament.
The site focused on polarizing issues such as Brexit and the General election in the UK with a pro-conservative stance, although the site has no connections to the Conservative Party.
8. Red State
Red State is the last Townhall media site on this list. The site, like many of its fellow sister sites, was founded as an enthusiast site, before being acquired by Townhall media.
Red State is unapologetically conservative, although it was criticized during the 2016 Presidential elections by Sean Hannity, Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly for being a main conservative critic of his.
Although, since its takeover by Townhall, the site has had a major reshuffle, where many anti-Trump editors and writers left.
7. ConservativeHome
As the name implies, the site is a home of conservatism… It just isn’t necessarily the home of American conservatism.
ConservativeHome is a conservative political blog that focuses on the British conservative party, rather than American conservatism. Although many issues do overlap, so it’s definitely worth a read!
ConservativeHome mainly focuses on issues that would affect British conservatives, although there are some content surrounding Trump and his administration.
(However, this content focuses on its effects on the UK, rather than the world or the US!)
If you are interesting in reading one of the best conservative blogs with a twist, ConservativeHome is certainly the one to go for!
6. Blaze Media
Blaze Media styles itself as the “alternative to traditional media, who are distorting the facts to fit a rigid agenda”.
The site has an array of conservative authors from an array of backgrounds, and often calls upon well-known guest contributors to back the site up.
As well as the site being a blog, there is also a podcast, radio show and magazine that goes along with the site as well!
5. Politic-Ed
Ok, I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it! We just had to!
Politic-Ed was founded in June 2019 as a platform for many to enjoy a blend of classical and neoconservatism.
We normally focus on political explainer articles, such as “What is lobbying?” and “Why do politicians focus on the economy?“
However, we also write opinion articles on policy, and most recently an article on “Who will win the presidential election?” and “The best conservative books that you should read!“
4. American Thinker
American Thinker is one of the oldest political sites on the internet, not to mention one of the oldest, most respected and best conservative blogs out there!
The site focuses on conservative politics, the economy and global affairs, and the site isn’t afraid to be subtle about it conservative leanings.
Often, the site is quite open about its conservative leanings, such as explaining why Trump will get a second term, or the picture of Karl Marx, with a descrption of:
Make Breadlines and Gulgas great again!
On their homepage!
3. IMAO
IMAO, quite hilariously stands for “In my angry opinion”, and the site’s tagline reads “Unfair. Unbalanced. Unmedicated.”
And the site isn’t afraid to show that either!
However, unlike many other conservative blogs, IMAO doesn’t educate the world, or attack the left. Instead, it is more satirical and humorous.
Instead of insulting the left directly, the site prefers to take a shot at making a hilarious correlation and joke, that usually send you howling in laughter!
Although, sadly, there are some non-political articles, which often look out of place. And sadly, these articles are increasing in their frequency. Although, their older articles are pure gold!
2. Michelle Malkin
Michelle Malkin is one of the most famous and respected conservatives on the planet. Even die-hard democrats can agree that she certainly has an in your face-style of writing, that you can’t help but enjoy!
She gained her fame through her blog- Michellemalkin.com which has grown from its beginnings in 2004, has grown to be one of, if not the most respected and best conservative blogs on the entire internet!
She has also undertaken serious investigative journalism tasks too, including travelling to Baghdad, in order to prove that a widely used source by the Associated Press, in fact, did not exist!
Malkin has also used her blog as a way to protect other conservatives from the left, such as during the SAW movement in 2006.
1. RealClearPolitics
RealClearPolitics is owned by RealClearInvestors, who own several other investigative sites, such as RealClearWorld and RealClearDefense.
The site is very unique in many ways. Not only does it provide its own content, analaysis, news and opinion, but also curates articles from other media outlets.
Most of the content on RealClearPolitics is center-right leaning, although many of the curated articles do occasionally hold center-left leaning views. These include articles from sites like the New York Times.
